My Approach

I work with each person to understand their difficulty and what makes sense from their perspective. I have a lot of experience and extensive training in a range of techniques such as CBT, problem-focused and psycho-dynamic therapy but first I want to figure out if a specific technique is appropriate for this person. For example a very intellectual person may need a technique that improves their connection with their emotions not a rationalised approach because this doesn't help them to think or act in a different way. Only by acting, thinking and feeling in a different way can lasting change be possible.
